All ornaments from Mezin (Ukraine, 23 000 B.C.) represent the systematic scientific study of meander motifs derived by algorithmic method from a single element: a rectangle covered by the set of parallel diagonal lines. After long study, the highlights of Mezin ornamental art: ivory birds and bracelet, are realized. By time, that "scientific/art discovery" is probably extended to all Paleolithic and Neolithic Eastern and Midd-Europe (see: Modularity in Art; illustrations from the book "Mezin" by Shovkoplyas and "The language of the goddess" by M. Gimbutas).
